A guest bathroom had been backing up repeatedly, and someone had already told the homeowner it was going to be a big, expensive fix. That didn't sit right with us. So we came in, pulled the toilet, and ran a camera down the drain to see exactly what we were dealing with - no guessing, no assumptions.

What the camera picked up told the whole story. A screwdriver had made its way deep into the drain line and was sitting right in the pipe, blocking flow every time the toilet was flushed. That's the kind of thing you'd never know without actually looking inside the line. This is exactly why camera inspections matter - they take the mystery out of it.

From there, we used a magnet to pull the screwdriver out clean. No cutting into walls. No tearing up the floor. No major excavation. Just precise, targeted drain clearing that got straight to the cause of the problem. The toilet went back in, and that bathroom was back in service.

The bigger point here is this - if a diagnosis doesn't feel right, or a quote sounds way higher than it should, get a second opinion. We see it all the time. A recurring backup that's been misdiagnosed for months gets resolved in a single visit once someone actually looks inside the pipe. Drain cleaning and drain clearing done right starts with knowing what you're actually dealing with.

Not every backup is a catastrophe waiting to happen. Sometimes it's just a screwdriver in the wrong place. The tools exist to find these things fast, and we'd rather give you the real answer than a big bill for work you don't need.
